An integral water system suppresses the generation of any open flame. Unlike bake-off ovens-which typically operate at 250-500☏-burn-off ovens usually run at 700-900☏ or greater, causing the coating to burn without flame, which is called pyrolysis. Burn-off ovens-also called heat cleaning ovens-are a popular tool for stripping powder coated racks and parts. The latter may include the use of heat-cleaning ovens, open flames, hot fluidized beds, molten salt baths and lasers. Among them, chemical stripping, mechanical stripping and pyrolytic stripping. It'll last a lot longer and will be easier to re-open the can. Put a layer of cellophane (saran wrap) over the top, then reinstall the lid (cellophane between lid and can).

Get more cans than you think you need and return what you don't use so you don't have to stop. A light first coat followed by two heavier wet coats is good. It will hold up to the elements much better over time.
